The Poppy line originated from GW Miss Choice 717F, a cow we purchased a share in and imported a lot of embryos from. 717F is a daughter of 407D a matriarch of the Black Simmental breed. The carcase attributes of this family are particularly strong, with good marbling and muscle.
This family is increasing in influence as time goes on. We love the type and performance of these cows, more and more of them are finding their way into our donor programs.
